ERIN SCHAAL
VOCALS AND PERCUSSION
Erin has loved singing for as long as she can remember, she just wasn’t brave enough to do it in public until she went to college. Since then, she’s dabbled in various music projects in that span.
Erin has been singing with Film at Eleven since 2015. Prior to that, her only experience was singing with the rock cover band Get Off My Lawn, so Randy wanted to ensure her audition was thorough. He brought her in for four different auditions, asking her to learn 10 different songs for each one. It was a strategic move because by the time Erin was officially invited to join the band, she already knew the set list for their upcoming show!
Since then, Erin has particularly loved learning and performing the songs that excite the crowd. There is no greater joy than hearing dozens of people singing along to “Dream On” or “Under Pressure,” or seeing the spike of energy during the opening of “Ain’t It Fun” or “Sweet Child ‘O Mine,” or the camaraderie of women belting along to “Just A Girl” or “Flowers.” That’s why when Erin’s not on stage, you can usually find her… in the crowd. She would much rather be performing with the audience than strictly for an audience (and she thanks you profusely from the bottom of her heart for being part of that experience).
